Wood Lab was established by Michael J. Balaskovitz following years of Doctoral Research and Study conducted at Michigan State University’s Department of Forestry. With “wood quality” as the primary focus of his work, application of scientific knowledge to the stabilization industry was natural.

In addition, Wood Lab is a tangible example of the entrepreneurial spirit he encourages while instructing at Muskegon Community College. “In the dynamic business environment now facing our country, opportunities for small scale niche market endeavors are plentiful… you are the institution protecting your livelihood.”
